🦴 How Monster Spawns Work
Monster spawning in Tibiara follows several mechanics. Here’s a breakdown of how they work and some quality of life improvements we've made!
#
⏳ Spawn Timer / Interval
- Monster respawn scales with player activity—the more players online, the faster creatures will respawn.
- We’ve boosted the respawn clock slightly to make spawns a bit faster for a smoother hunting experience.
#
🔥 Overspawn Mechanic (Classic 7.4 Feature)
- If you lure a monster far away from its home radius, the game automatically spawns a replacement.
- This can create an "Overspawn" effect, making some areas dangerous if creatures are constantly replaced.
- In extreme cases, this can make traveling between cities risky due to unexpected spawns!
#
🛑 Blocking Spawn (How It Works & QoL Changes)
- In older versions, players used to block respawns by standing in certain locations, like waiting for a single demon spawn far away.
- The spawn-blocking rule depends on what floors your client loads:
- On surface levels, you receive all floors from ground (0) up to +7.
- Underground, you can block respawns only if you are also underground, affecting two levels above and below you.
- Tibiara QoL Improvement:
- If you block a spawn when the timer hits, it doesn't reset the timer.
- Instead, it pauses the spawn, waits for you to leave, and then spawns the creature a few seconds later.
- This change was made based on player feedback to improve gameplay balance.
